Origin and geographical distribution : Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, French Guyana

Status : Wild.

Description : Semi-lignose, tree-like, height to 3 m, propagated by seeds; leaves variable, entire or lobed;  flowers cream-yellow, fruit ovoid, orange at maturity, 2.5 cm Ø; few seeds.  

Uses : Edible fruits and leaves
